Restok is a shopping list app. It has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics. Almost everything it does happens on your phone, and this page explains the one part that doesn't.
Your items, your store sections, and the order you put them in are stored on your phone. We can't see them. They aren't synced to us or backed up by us. If you delete the app, they're gone — so if a list matters to you, keep a copy somewhere else too.
When you paste a list into Import from Notes, the text you pasted is sent to our server to be tidied up — bullets and checkboxes stripped, duplicates merged, items sorted into aisles. Our server passes that text to DeepSeek, an AI provider, which does the sorting and sends it back.
We don't store your list. It's held in memory only long enough to clean it up and hand it back. DeepSeek's handling of that text is governed by their own privacy policy.
This is the only feature that sends anything anywhere, it only runs when you tap it, and it's optional. If the server can't be reached, your list is sorted on your phone instead and the app carries on working.
Along with that request we send a random ID created on your phone the first time you use the feature. Its only job is to count how many cleanups an installation has used in a day, so one device can't use up the service for everyone.
It's a random string. It holds nothing about you, your phone, or your list, it isn't used for anything else, and deleting and reinstalling the app gives you a new one.
Our server runs on Cloudflare. Like any web service it records short-lived operational logs — that a request happened, whether it worked, and the install ID if a daily limit was reached. Your list text is not written to those logs. They exist to keep the service running and are not used to build a profile of anyone.
Restok is suitable for all ages and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone. Because we don't keep your list or tie anything to your identity, there's nothing on our side to delete — but if you have a question about it, write to us.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
